Jammu , Oct 9 : A joint meeting of J&K Govt. Employees Joint Consultative Committee an amalgam of various organizations, federations and associations was organized at Jammu under the presidium of S.Kulwant Singh, Ganesh Khajuria S. Amrik Singh, Rajinder Kumar, and Shahid Hussain.
While addressing the meeting S.Kulwant Singh expressed the anguish over the suppressive & oppressive attitude of the Govt on democratically struggling employees. The JCC at Jammu appealed the employees of the J&K state to observe the Black Day on 10th of Oct. 2013 during office hours from 10 am to 4 pm.
The employees will wear black badges as a sentimental protest and appeal the employees to remain united in future for befitting reply to the adamant Govt. which is flourishing with the draconian law over its own employees.
The JCC has demanded the unconditional release of arrested leaders like Mohd.Gafoor Dar, Abdual Quim Wani, Haji Ashraf Bhatt and many others.
The arrested employees are suffering with deteriorating health as they are on hunger strike in jail. If there will be any untoward happening the Govt. will be responsible, they warned. It is unfortunate that the employees are facing breach of trust as the Govt. is backing out of its written agreement with JCC leadership, signed on 15-9-2011 on the demands that include regularization of all DRW/CL who were engaged before & after 1994 in different Deptts and are continuously working, enhancement of retirement age from 58-60 years, removal of pay disparity in pre revised pay scale 6500-200-10500 and clerical staff, additional budgetry support to such PSU who don't have their resources.
