Several organizations extend support for establishment of Gojri , Pahari Research Center at JU

Poonch, Oct 9: Today a delegation from Jammu University comprised of three organizations namely Gujjar and Bakarwal Students Welfare Association (GBSWA), Progressive Students Association (PSA) and Pahari Students Samaj Front (PSSF) visited Poonch to gather support for the ongoing struggle in the Jammu university regarding establishment of the Pahari research centre and Gojri research centre.
According to press release, in the early morning students affiliated to above said organization, visited Poonch Degree college and convened a meeting with general students under the chairmanship of Qazi Asad ur Rehman District President Pahari Students Samaj Front, Ikhlaq Chaudary college President ST Students.
Speaking on the occasion Qazi lambasted the JU authorities for their callous attitude towards the establishment of Pahari and Gojri Research centers. He further said that the students who were on hunger strike for the redressal of their demands were booked under various sections of RPC which was very unfortunate on the part of JU, the extent of discrimination was that the students were rusticated and PSA was banned by the dictator rule of authorities.
Syed Zeshan Haider said that it was for the first time that Pahari and Gujjar students have unitedly come up with the burning issues in spite of "Divide and Rule Policy" of every successive government from last two decades'.
He sought immediate intervention of Governor and CM in the recent episode which was conspired by JU authorities to divert the masses from ongoing agitation for Pahari and Gojri Research Centers. They also organized a peaceful march which started from Fountain Garden Poonch and was concluded at Pritam Park Poonch. At last the students' delegation from JU comprised of Ch.Talib State President GBSWA, MS Bhatti State Executive member PSA, Dheeraj State President PSA, Syed Zeshan Haider Patron and Spokesman of Pahari Students Samaj Front, Ch. Akram State Vice President GBSWA assured the students of the far flung area to fight for their upliftment in the interest of Right, Equality and Justice guaranteed under Constitution of India. They also met Dr. Banday (President) Civil Youth Society Asad Chouhan (Gen. Secretary of Civil Youth Society) who extended full support to the issue from his organization. Then team also met Riaz Aatish (President Mandi-Poonch development front) who also extended full support to the issue and also lambasted the JU authorities for its dictatorial move and raised a local issue of Mandi where stone pelting was at peak during night by some strangers at the terraces of the residents of the area which has terrorized the common masses of the area. Civil Youth Society (CYS), Mandi-Poonch development Front, Garib Nawaz Foundation, All India Students Federation (AISF), Scheduled Tribes Students Federation extended full support.
