10/16/2013 11:38:57 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 16 : National Conference's Provincial Secretary Kashmir Showkat Mir today accused Congress party of 'spinning the line' for its coalition partner NC.
Mir while reacting to the Congress approval to the membership to what the party termed 'list of prominent citizens', said: "The Congress party in the state has always tried to trouble the NC. The horse trading has been the habit and policy of the Congress here. The party has done it in the past and is repeating the same at present."
Mir told that in 1953, Congress toppled the Government of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and in 1975 withdrew support from the then NC led government.
He stated further that in 1984, Congress 'conspired' against NC and installed G M Shah as state Chief Minster. "We are not surprised over what Congress is doing at present; it has been its habit since long."
The NC Provincial Secretary alleged that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is the creation of Delhi which according to him has been created to act as a 'hurdle' for NC. He further claimed that NC will not be suppressed through these 'tactics', and that it would continue to remain a vibrant voice of the people of the state.
