Early Times Report Kathua, Oct 18: PHE Workers Welfare Association today held a meeting under the chairmanship of district president Joginder Kumar in which dozens of members participated and discussed several long pending demands. The members discussed their demands and decided to stage a protest demonstration to press the government to concede their demands. The demands included, regular disbursement of wages to all daily rated/need based/CP workers, implementation of SRO 3 of Labour Department, regularization of daily rated workers who have completed 5 years of regular service, regular conduct of DPCs to fill up all vacant posts, introduction of Welfare Fund Scheme for all cadres of employees, computerization of GPF accounts, framing of new recruitment policy, creation of more posts for different categories and so on. In the meeting it was decided that keeping in view the delaying attitude of the government and department the Association would organize a protest in the premises of PHE office. The chairman of the association Baldev Singh appealed to the members to participate in the protest so that a pressure could be made on government. At this occasion Kamal Singh, Jaswant Raj, Parshotam Singh, Ram Gopal, Ashok Kumar, Shambu Nath, Jaipal Singh were also present.
