| Adopt tough postures against disdainful Pakistan: Harsh | | | early times report Jammu, Oct 18: Alleging that the Union govt of diplomatic failures, Harsh Dev Singh NPP Chairman and MLA has urged upon the centre to shed off its inhibitions and adopt tough postures against Pakistan for the latter's highly disdainful, criminal and preposterous acts in persistently assaulting our National pride and honour. He said that the persistent Pakistani mis-adventures on the Borders in violation of Cease Fire Agreemant (CFA) should be an eye-opener for the Indian Govt. which has been through and through pursuing a submissive and meek approach despite the highly pernicious onslaughts of Pakistan. He lamented that a steep hike had been recorded in terrorist related fatalities during 2013 with Pakistan refusing to mend its ways despite high level meetings between the premiers of the two countries. He said that the intrusions into Shalabhata area in Keran Sector, Poonch, Samba, Hiranagar, Akhnoor etc had created an alarming situation with the yesterday's acts beig highly reprehensible in which Pakistan rangers directly shelled Indian villages targeting the civilian population working in the border villages in Jammu region. Condemning the Pakistan aggression, as an act of war, he called for appropriate and adequate response to this most reprehensible act. He said that the centre should shed of its inhibitions and act tough so as to give a clear message across the border that any further trying the patience of India could be disastrous for the belligerent neighbor. Harsh Dev further asserted that Indian leadership had projected itself in very poor and helpless state in the past also by its failure to prevail upon Pakistan to bring to book the culprits responsible for murderous attack on Sarbjit, Chamel Singh and others after Jan 2013. Reminding the centre of the recent incidents of barbaric beheading of an Indian soldier on LoC and merciless killing of Chamel Singh, he said Union govt. should recollect how Pakistan Govt refused to respond to India's appeals and requests. He said that the most distressing aspect was that the Pak Govt had been consistently and contemptuously dismissing the requests and appeals of Indian Govt. for enquiry and action against the culprits responsible for the aforesaid heinous acts. He further recollected the highly condemnable incident of infiltration on Samba-Hiranagar Borders and killing of several innocent Policeman and army personal in the area. Equally inexorable and reprehensible were the acts of shelling Indian villagers in which several children and women were injured. "The recent incidents, he said, were the most heinous offences which needed to attract punitive retribution from international community. Accusing the Union govt. of diplomatic failures, Singh said that it owed an explanation to the nation for its submissive policies and soft approach in the face of highly offensive Pakistan and aggressive China. Urging upon the Centre to adopt tough postures, Singh said that India needs to take up the said issues at International forums, agitate them in international court of justice, take measures to declare Pak a rogue and terrorist nation and further go the whole hog in mounting pressure on Pakistan to refrain from such mis-adventures in future.
