| Two bootleggers held, 24 IMFL bottles seized | | | Kathua, Oct 18: Police today claimed to have has arrested two bootleggers who were trying to smuggle the same from neighbouring state of Punjab, here on Friday. The police have registered a case against the two under Excise Act. According to police sources, following specific information Chowki officer of Nagri Police Post Rakesh Sharma laid a naka near Kokhyal and intercepted two suspicious persons. "During the frisking of the duo the police team recovered 24 bottles of IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) including 24 bottles of liquor i.e. 12 of Whisky and 12 of Rum. The two accused have been identified namely as Bahadur Singh s/o Shiv Ram and Dheer Singh s/o Janak Singh both resident of Kumri Kathera. A case under appropriate sections of Excise Act stands registered against the accused.
