Jammu, Oct 18: Five-day long book fair organized by Progressive Youth Society, Jammu in collaboration with National Book Trust New Delhi at Town Hall Udhampur concluded today.
In the valedictory function, Benam Tosh Superintendent of Police Udhampur was the Chief Guest Dr. Gurdit Singh Ex-Director Agriculture presented welcome address whereas Palvinder Singh conducted the proceedings of the function.
On this occasion, Surinder Singh, Deepankar Gupta and Kewal Kumar Sharma shared their views about the Book Fair. The Chief Guest Benam Tosh in his address stressed upon the audience to be habitual of Book reading as such only books are the real friend, Guru and Guide.
He said books give every kind of knowledge to a person and by getting proper knowledge, one can easily reach to the top level. He also congratulated to Progressive Youth Society for such wonderful event in Udhampur for the first time.
Prominent among others were included Sunita Verma, Upkar SIngh, Bharat Rhushan, Snhash Sharma, and Bal Krishan. |
