Kathua, Oct 18 : Demanding shifting of their examination centers from Jammu to Kathua, the agitating students of different Para Medical Training Institutes today met Assistant Commissioner Revenue. Before meeting the administrative officers the agitating students raised slogans in the premises of Mini Secretariat under the leadership of ABVP State leader Rahul Dev Sharma. Amid slogans, protesting students said that the shifting of examination centers of their final exams has posed a major problem for them. "There are students who belong to far flung areas, which are around 150 to 200 kilometers from Kathua, and cannot reach back to their homes after finishing exam at 5 pm at Jammu. Moreover the girl students will have to face much more difficulties", they said. Annoyed with the attitude of concerned authorities the students said that instead of minimizing their problems latter have been pushing them into trouble. They warned that if their exam centers would not be shifted back to district Kathua they would start hunger strike in support of their struggle. Later a deputation of the protesting students visited the office of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Suraj Parkash Rakwal, who assured the students that there matter would be solved on Saturday |
