| United platform formed for Pahari, Gojri Research Center in JU | | | Jammu, Oct 20: Different social and student organisations formed a united platform to fight for the establishment of Pahari and Gojri Research Center in Jammu University. Keeping in view the prevalent injustice in the society, these organizations formed this platform named as Movement For Justice (MFJ) In its first formal meeting MFJ chalked out the concrete programme and demands. In the meeting all member organisations unanimously demanded the establishment of Pahari and Gojri research centers, revocation of all the police cases, rustications, suspensions of students and ban on progressive students association (PSA) imposed by vice-chancellor of JU. They also demanded free and fare investigation of university incidents happened on September 12 and 13, by investigating committee formed by Governor of J&K. They further demanded that university authority should stop giving shelter and protection to hooligans in the campus. In the end of the meeting all the member organisations resolved that university authorities were incapable of resolving the issue within the premises of the campus. So that we have to fight this issue on wider level and promised to take the issue to the masses. MJF will also meet with all higher authorities including VC, CM, Governor and higher education minister.
