| SI among 3 booked, challaned for attempt to murder | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 20: Satwari Police booked three persons including a Sub Inspector for attempt to murder and theft of revenue documents. They were challaned before Chief Judicial Magistrate which was later transferred to Municipal Magistrate, Jammu. The case was registered against them after re-investigation by police on court's direction. As per official documents, on 17.12.2011 one Vijay Kumar, Sub Inspector, son of Babu Ram of Diary Hakkal along with his brothers namely Gopal Kirshan and Rashpal and his father fired gun shot with his service revolver on Nitan Gupta son of Surinder Gupta of village Kirpalpur at present Sanjay Nagar and Ashok Kumar son of Bihari Lal of Sura Chak, both advocates by profession, and took the revenue documents of the land with them from the vehicle of advocate Ashok Kumar. Nitan Gupta was ploughing field at village Chak Sardran when the incident took place. Accordingly a case under FIR no 215/2011 was lodged against them at Police Station Satwari. Later the next day, the wife of Sub Inspector namely Anju Bala lodged counter FIR against both the advocates. Police during investigation established offences under sections 307/380/34 RPC and 3/30 Arms Act against Vijay Kumar, his two brothers and father, while the FIR lodged against advocates was not substantiated by police. The cop in question then lodged complaint against then SHO Satwari Abid Rafiqi and ICPP Mandal Phallian before High Court. Based on the complaint, re- investigation of the case was done on Court's direction . The incumbent SHO Satwari Ghulam Hassan Kamal completed the investigation as per stipulated time of 2 months and produced the challan against Sub Inspector, his two brothers and father. |
