| MAJK presents sports kit to climbers | | | Sports reporter
JAMMU, Oct 20: Mountaineering Association of J&K (MAJK) today presented climbing kits to two sport climbers Bindia Sharma of Udhampur and Shilpa Charak of Muthi in Jammu, who have been selected in the North Zone Sport team for participation in the National Sport Climbing Championship scheduled to be held at Bangalore from October 28 to October 31.
A kit was also presented to Shawetica Khajuria, who shall accompany the climbers to the National Championship. The kit included a pair of imported climbing shoes, a chalk bag and a track suit.
The kits were presented by secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K, Ram Khajuria in the presence of budding climbers who are attending the coaching camp at Sprawling Buds School as a part of their preparation for the forthcoming 1st Sub Junior North Zone Sport Climbing Championship. Khajuria, who is also secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K, reminded the climbers that in addition to the handsome cash awards announced by Tawi Trekkers J&K, the Association would also suitably honour the national medal winners with cash prizes. |
