Jammu, Oct 24: Sudarshan Choudhary, general secretary and spokesperson Nationalist Congress Party along with Party leaders and activists staged protest at the press club Jammu and condemned the unprovoked Pak firing on BSF and also targeting civilians along the international Border. Some cattle were also killed in this mortar shelling and injured civilians besides BSF personnel. Sense of panic and insecurity among the border population and have been spread and mass immigration has been started from the border belts, he said. Choudhary demanded cash compensation for the families whose cattle have been killed and for the damages done to the houses / shops and other belongings. Necessary arrangements be made for migrated families at the safer places until and unless situations on the border turns normal. Choudhary also demanded border scouts should be made by recruiting able bodies ex-servicemen and retired officers and personnel of the army and central paramilitary forces as well as youth of the border areas of the state who are well acquainted with the topography of the area that would be very useful in second line of defense to ensure protection of life and property in the border areas. The protest was supported by Akhil Sharma president Nationalist Student Congress (NSC) J&K, while the main activists were Gourav Kapoor (president NYC J&K), Navjot Singh , Abhinandan Kali, Nitish Singh, Bindu Chib, Neel Kanth, Deepak Gupta, Amar Singh, Deepak Singh, Amit Sharma, Indu Bushan, Vijay, Surinder Choudhary, Vicky Kumar Bhagat, Karan and many more. |
