Jammu, Oct 24: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu region today organized cluster level National Children's Science Congress at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar. The Science Congress was inaugurated by Sh. A.S Gill, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu. V Santhosh Kumar, Principal, KV Bantalab attended the programme as an observer. Officiating venue Principal Romi Amrit welcomed the chief guest and gave a brief report of the event. She said that aim of this programmeit is to promote the spirit of Scientific Temper, skills in observation and deduction in the children. A Cultural Programme was presented by the students of KV No.1, Jammu. The event is a part of the programme of Department of Science & Technology under the National council of Science & Technology Communication, Government of India. More than one hundred students belonging to nine Kendriya Vidyalayas of Jammu Cluster participated in this event. The activities in the Congress included Display of Models & Projects and Power point Presentatations on the theme -'Energy: Explore, Harness & Conserve. A S Gill said that the activities of this kind give opportunities to the children to become more aware about the problems around and give scientific alternatives for the solutions for them.
