| Aishmuqam shuts over local woman's mysterious death | | | Saahil Suhail
Anantnag, Oct 24: A complete shutdown was observed in South Kashmir's Aishmuqam against the alleged murder of lady by her in laws at Shopian. Locals held protest demonstration on Anantnag-Pahalgam road demanding stern punishment against the criminals involved in the crime. According to eye witness Parveza Akther wife Nissar Ahmad resident of Banpora Shopian was found dead under mysterious circumstances yesterday evening in shopian. Later the postmortem of the dead body was done by doctors at district hospital Shopian. According to family of deceased lady, the relationship between the husband and wife was disturbing since few months due which dead body of the lady was brought to her ancestral home in Aishmuqam for burial. On the arrival of body in Aishmuqam family, relatives and locals saw the tourcher marks over the dead body and rejected doctors' report in which they have declared cause of death due to consuming poison. Locals along with relatives and family took the dead body in main chowk Aishmuqam and held a protest demonstration against the alleged murder of lady by her in laws. Shops and all others business establishments also observed a complete shutdown during the day. Family members said that the doctors have manipulated the report as the accused (husband) is himself working in district hospital shopian. In the evening, protesters dispersed peacefully after administration and police assured swift action against the criminals. Worth to mention that deceased lady is mother of a year old baby. |
