Udhampur, Oct 24: As part of the ongoing awareness campaign launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity throughout the country, the Udhampur unit of DFP, Government in close coordination and cooperation of Door Darshan Kandera, Udhampur and education department organized an interactive special awareness programme today. According to press release, the day long programme was organized under the chairmanship of Chanchal Devi, Principal of the Institute. On this occasion a seminar in which six students besides some intellectuals and dignitaries spoke on the subject to make audience aware of the recently launched National Food Security Act. While interacting with the audience Gurnam Singh, I/C Field Publicity Office, Udhampur provided elaborated information and awareness of Bharat Nirman Campaign Phase-II with special emphasis on Direct Benefit Transfer Programme, Adhar( The unique Identification) and National Food Security Act and strongly urged upon to shoulder their responsibilities for the awareness and information of this national programme in their respective area. Vice Principal Sham Lal interacted with the audience and appreciated the role of Directorate of Field Publicity for organizing such awareness programmes for the benefit of the masses. He also demanded that such programmes should be organized frequently so that the benefit of such programmes and schemes reach to the people at grass root level. |
