Kishtwar, Nov 6: Army claimed to have busted two major terror hideouts belonged to Lashker-e-Toiba and Hizbul Mujadeen in forests of Keshwan and Kuchhal of District Kishtwar. As per the details, on the bases of the specific input, troops of 8 RR and Jammu and Kashmir Police during a search operation in Chansir area of Keshwan forest area some 45 kilometer from Kishtwar and busted a militant hideout of LeT. Army recovered one Light Machine Gun (Pikka), one AK 47 Riffle, two magazines of AK 47, 212 rounds of AK 47, one round of RPG, 15 rounds of UBGL, 27 Grenades, two local made IEDs, electronic circuit of IED, one Radio set (Kenwood) and a letter pad with Hizbul Mujahidin Logo. In another search operation, troops of 11 RR in a joint operation during the search operation in Chas area of Kuchhal forests of Kishtwar District found a hideout inside a natural cave and during its search recovered One Pikka Gun, 50 rounds of Pikka, Two RPG rounds and One IED circuit. This hideout is said to be used by the LeT militants in past. The recovered weapon has the tendency to cause wide spread destruction in case the same falls into the hands of militants or anti national elements. |
