Srinagar, Nov 6: Sajjad Shafi Wani, a prominent citizen from Rajbagh, Srinagar today joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was welcomed into the party fold by the chief spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar.
Sajjad comes from a distinguished lineage, whose maternal grandfather, late Gh Rasool Kochak has served as an MP and a prominent political figure of the state. His inspiration for joining the PDP is the party's pro people agenda, its performance in the government and opposition and credibility of its leadership. On this occasion Bashir Ahmad from Owantabhawan, Srinagar also joined the party. He has served as DySP in the state police and had a distinguished career. |
