Precious lives saved at Gingle

Srinagar, Nov 6: At mid night on Tuesday, fire broke out in the house of Khwaja Mohd Ilias, son of Mohammad Yousuf Ganai, resident of Gingle Village. On receipt of information Army immediately reacted and rushed a party to the site along with a water browser and firefighting equipment to provide necessary assistance.
On reaching the site and taking stock of the situation, the party swung into action and prevented the fire from engulfing the neighbouring houses and were able to completely douse the fire by 0300h. The prompt, speedy and well planned action by the Army was instrumental not only in preventing fire from spreading to other houses in the village but also saved precious lives.
This humanitarian action by the Army will further cement the already strong bond between the Jawan and awaam of Gingle village. The villagers as a whole, and Khwaja Mohd Ilias in particular were appreciative of Armys swift action and also expressed their gratitude.
