Bijay Charak Jammu, Nov 8: "Nearly 9 months have passed since my only daughter was crushed to death by bus of Delhi Public School inside its premises on February 8, 2013, but still we are waiting for her school bag which is still in the custody of DPS management and has not been returned to us", laments hapless Surjeet Singh Choudhary father of Suruchi Choudhary of Sector-8 Nanak Nagar Jammu. Surjeet Choudhary while criticizing the DPS administration said that when her daughter was crushed to death, the school administration had assured to replace the transport in charge but so far nothing has been done. "On 8th February, Ajat Shatru Singh and his wife had come, to our house to mourn the demise of our beloved, after which neither any person from school management visited our house nor have they replaced the Transport in charge. The school management even didn't bother to return my daughter's school bag", Surjeet Choudhary said, with tears rolling from his eyes. Narrating about the lax attitude of Police administration, allegedly under the influence of DPS management, Choudhary further said that Police were not pursuing the case vigorously and were seemingly hushing up the same. "Whenever we go to Police station and meet the in-charge of the case, he makes lame excuses. Sometime in charge (DySP) said, he was busy and hence unable to pursue the same", Choudhary alleged. "My daughter was killed due to outdated buses being used by DPS management. Many of buses are around 20 years old, which claimed life of our beloved daughter. Even today the buses are not replaced and are being used in sheer violation of norms, which may claim another precious life", the family members said. He demanded from state government to take stringent action against the school management. |
