| CPPWU calls on GVK management, demands job for land owners | | |

Kishtwar, Nov 8: A deputation of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union led by its Chairman Joginder Bhandari called upon the management of M/S G.V.K Energy Limited and its sub-contractor engaged on the execution of 850 MW Rattle H.E Project Drabshalla and stressed upon the management of the company to provide employment to one member of each family whose land has come under the Project at par with the NHPC and PDC.
Bhandari has also stressed upon the company to provide employment and civil contracts in the project to the local youths of the District Kishtwar failing which the youths of District shall be compelled to take agitations/strikes/dharnas in support of their demands.
He said that some local officers engaged in the project are misleading the management of G.V.K for their vested interest and added that these vested interest people have been rejected by the public of Kishtwar.
He also said that the union will provide full support to the executing agencies of Rattle H.E Project in case the demands of the union were conceded on priority basis.
The deputation included Mohammad Khalil Tapal, general secretary, Mohammad Amin Butt, Sr. Vice President, Zakir Hussain ,Secretary, Ghulam Mohammad Bagwan, Chashier , Sadarat Ali, acting president of Bahlihar H.E Project, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Anil Sharma, Khursheed Ahmed Sheikh, Bilal Ahmed and others.
