| 7 ½ yrs RI to murder accused | | | Et Report
Jammu, Nov 8 : 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu YP Bourney today awarded seven and half year rigorous imprisonment to Daras Ram s/o Basaku Ram, r/o Bilaigarh Chatisgarh who was facing trial in murder case.
According to the police case, on October 11, 2006 Police received an information that a quarrel broke out at Hazuri Bagh and police rushed on spot an found a dead body of Gulhan Kumar lying in the plot of contractors. On being asked, both the children of the deceased told that accused was putting up in the shop on the plot; he started hurling abuses on Raj Kumar at about 8:00 PM because of previous hostility and then strated beating him with fists and kicks by calling out at the street injuring him thereby. On this police registered a case and after completion of investigation presented challan u/s 302/323 RPC. 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu YP Bourney after hearing APP Harpal singh for the state convicted the accused u/s 304 and 323 and awarded seven and half years RI and fine Rs 10,000 to the accused and sent him to District Jail for undergone the imprisonment. |
