| Workshop on 'disaster management' held at Dogra College of Edu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 8: Civil Defence Samba, in collaboration with Dogra College of Education Bari Brahmana, organized one day awareness camp/workshop on the topic 'First Aid and Disasters Related Activities' today in the college premises.
At the onset Vice Principal Shefali Sharma presented welcome address and briefed about the objective of occasion besides significance of National Disaster Response force as well as State Disaster Response Force which saves the precious human lives at eventualities.
District Fire Officer Samba S C Verma spoke on the subject "the Role of fire Services during disaster and fire fighting" while Dr Ranbushan Singh from Health Department Jammu spoke on first aid and emergency health care. Inspector Vishal Shoor PTTI Vijaypur delivered the lecture on Disasters like Natural as well as manmade (Earthquake) etc. Inspector Pawan Sharma delivered lecture on Blood donation and its importance.
Director Academics Dogra Educational Trust Prof B D Damral, Dy Controller Civil Defence Samba Sudershan Mehta also spoke on the occasion.
Live demonstration alongwith Rescue vehicle was also given by the expert team of SDRF 2ND Battalion Jammu. Another Live demonstration alongwith fire vehicle was given by the Fire&Emergency Department Samba.
Dharamvir Singh Chief Warden, Sanjay Gupta Dy Chief Warden Raj Singh Post Warden, Narsingh Dayal Post Warden and Civil Defence Samba members were also present on this occasion. |
