UDHAMPUR, Nov 9 : National Legal Services day was observed today by Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA) Majalta , in the Court premises . To mark the day, a Lok Adalat and awareness camp was held in which the significance of the Legal Services Day was highlighted.
Speaking on the occasion Sudesh Sharma Munsiff (JMIC) , who also happened to be Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Majalta , said that the main focus of observing such event is to make aware and to emphasize on Article 39 (A) of Indian Constitution which ensures that the State shall promote justice on a basis of equal opportunity, and shall, in particular provide free legal aid to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities. She called for mediation and conciliation for settling the disputes and also called upon the people to take recourse to Lok Adalats. |
