Early Times Report

Bhaderwah, Nov 9: A general body meeting of Bhadarwah Hospital Bachao Front was held here today in the premises of old hospital complex under the chairmanship of Front convener Ranbir Singh Manhas.
The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the future course of action to be adopted in view of the Front filing a PIL in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir after having failed to get justice from the concerned authorities even after the ongoing dharna for restoration of medical facilities in the old hospital entering 15th month on November- 14.
While briefing the meeting on the need to knock the doors of the Judiciary for justice, the Front convener said that the decision had been taken in a meeting of the core committee last month, which was of the opinion that when there was no response from the executive set up even after having approached it from Union Health Minister down to the local SDM there was no other way out left for the Front than to seek intervention of the High Court to resolve the vexed hospital issue in broader public interest.
“We had authorized Ranbir Manhas as Front convener to file a PIL in the High Court after obtaining legal opinion from some legal expert” informed Bhagat Singh Manhas, a senior Front leader.
The meeting was informed that the first hearing has been fixed on November, 11 to be heard by a double bench headed by Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
The meeting was also informed that Advocate Rajinder Singh Kotwal will represent the Front in the Court in this particular case.
Expressing full faith in country’s judiciary, the meeting felt that the Court will decide the case in public interest.
