| GMS Rajouri building unsafe for students: Locals | | | Rajouri, Nov 9: Local and Non Governmental Organization in Rajouri have alleged that the building of Govt Girls Middle (Model) School Rajouri situated in the close vicinity of CEO Office Rajouri is unsafe and it may pose hazardous to the students enrolled in the school and the faculty members also. Locals alleged when it rains in Rajouri the rain water and sewage water enters into school premises as the school is situated in a low lying area and there is no proper sewage plan to stop the sewage water into the school. A students Shazina (name changed) a quipped that during rainy days more water is seen inside the school ground besides regular pouring in class rooms as compared to the water outside. She was not an isolated case but many other students of school alleged that they have raised their voice many a times but the concerned authorities seemed least bothered to our demands. "About 200 girls students alongwith 17 teachers and other non teaching staff have been left to the mercy of almighty, a student lamented. Head Master of the School Shahbaz Khan also had confirmed the dilapidated condition of the school. He also told that many times XEN PWD was informed but all requests turned to deaf ear. Meantime Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, Choudhary Lal Hussain, said that this office has communicated to DDC, Rajouri and he had issued direction to PWD authorities but we are waiting from the response from the concerned department. |
