| Cong leader’s son describes father’s death as ‘politically motivated’ | | |  ET REPORT
Jammu, Nov 11: Setting shock waves for district Congress leadership in Kathua, a son of former Congress leader alleged that his father who was Congress leader was murdered allegedly at the behest of some local politicians.
While addressing gathering Pranav Sharma, son of Congress leader Ashok Kumar Sharma alleged that his father who also was Congress leader was murdered allegedly at the behest of some local politicians and termed the killing of his father as nothing but a politically motivated murder. He further said that some locals leaders were jealous of the growing popularity of his father.
In a public gathering held to stage protest against the power outages in Bani, he surcharged with emotions going beyond accused the Congress for not mitigating the problems of the people living in Bani and its adjoining areas.
He said despite being blessed with picturesque landscapes and charming valleys the Bani of Kathua has been neglected by the successive governments. He also leveled allegations against sitting MLA for neglecting genuine demands of the people.
Earlier led by Pranav Sharma, people held protest in front of Office of SDM Bani and apprised their demands including irregular power supply. Meantime after giving a patient hearing to protestors, the SDM assured people that their demands would be discussed with the higher officials for their early redressal. |
