Power crises in the State has been deepening with every passing year and Government on its side is busy in only convening customary meetings. While as Jammu and Kashmir continues to attain top position in the country as far as Transmission and Distribution (T&D) losses are concerned, nothing effective has been done on the ground to minimize the T&D losses. Today a meeting of the Committee on Public Undertakings (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly again directed the Power Development Department (PDD) authorities to gear up their field functionaries and minimize power thefts beside Transmission and Distribution losses.
