| NC ups ante against PDP on presumed facts | | | ET Report Jammu, Nov 13: National Conference has upped the ante against People’s Democratic Party on frivolous, false and imagined facts. NC has gone to the extent of the saying that PDP received money from both the Army and agencies. NC MLC and deputy chairman of legislative council, which de-facto a constitutional posts, Javed Rana addressing a rally in Kalakote, without naming the PDP had said a party which receives money from Army and agencies can't claim to be savior of the people. Rana, had either not gone with developments are deliberately ignored the facts, that former army chief had said, as per the leaked report, that money was paid to some politicians for carrying out developmental works. The allegations were taken as too sweeping by politicians across the board that even Chief Minister had said that it had put the job of mainstream politicians more difficult. PDP was quick to take lead in correcting the image and had called for adjournment motion in this regard. NC even went to the extent of calling Gen Singh. In the entire political game of proving oneself as above the finger of suspicion, nowhere, PDP was particularly docked infact it was the NC who first issues a statement signed by all Ministers stating that they are ready to resign in the wake of these allegations. Such hasty step did raise suspicion about the presumed clean image of NC. Not only that even another MLC and close confidant of CM, Devender Singh Rana said that it is the NC which is the savior of democracy in the State. The former Chief Minister, once called Prime Minister, Sheikh Abdullah had publically changed his politically stand and got power at the mercy of Congress, which it had once said is the party of insects of drain. The so called savior of the democracy were first to leave the state when terrorism had started in the State leaving the State at the mercy of terrorism. The situation was brought to normalcy by then governor Jagmohan, whom they are blaming for the presumed massacres. Another presumed savior of the democratic right, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had his childhood in England and then in Mumbai and enjoyed power in Vajpayee Government when Gujarat riots did take place and then entered the State as a Chief Minister. In the entire process there is not even a single instance of his fighting for democratic rights and fighting for the people by being on their side |
