| Valedictory ceremony of two day NAAC Seminar held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 13: A two day NAAC sponsored National Seminar organized by the IQAC of Government M.A.M. College concluded today. Chief Guest at the Valedictory ceremony was Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla. Programme commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and other guests followed by a cultural programme by the Department of Music. The Two Day National Seminar was attended by a galaxy of academicians and Resource Persons from within and outside the state. About 50 papers were presented in the two day seminar. Academicians from various Colleges and Universities of the State, Delhi University, Punjab Technical University presented their papers and deliberated on enhancing varied quality measures in the institutions of higher learning thereby creating global consciousness commensurate with the tangible trends in the macrocosm of today's information age. Facilitation of knowledge and value based education was a major concern for discussion where in it was felt that it was imperative to preserve our rich culture and nurture a civilization which is responsible, socially committed and ethically strong. Dr.Ramesh Chander, Principal and Seminar Director of the Seminar welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of higher education to achieve the highest standards of excellence by empowering the young minds to live as committed and good human beings. Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla congratulated faculty of the College for having organized the Seminar which will help the institution to achieve excellence in academic and co-curricular sphere. He emphasized that such seminars will act as catalysts thereby creating an academic atmosphere which encourages originality, creativity and innovative ability in the young minds. |
