Jammu, Nov 21: Two persons got seriously injured when their motorcycle was hit by a passenger taxi near Marble Market in Greater Kailash area of this winter capital.
"Motorcycle borne two youths were on their way towards Greater Kailash late last night when they were hit from behind by the speedily driven Tata Winger JK02B-2106 near Marble Market," police here today said. Police said that the driver failed to control the speed of the vehicle, which hit the motorcyclists and dragged them to few meters away.
"The motorcycle caught fire soon after the accident and the youths identified as Anoop, son of Dhani Ram, resident of Greater Kailash and Ranbir were immediately rushed to the hospital," police added. The driver of the vehicle despite a chase by the police, managed to give a slip while the condition of both the injured was stated to be critical. However, a case has been registered and investigations are in progress. |
