No part of JK is under Chinese occupation: Tarigami
Kabuli contradicts

Anantnag, Nov 21: Senior Leader of newly lunched Jammu Kashmir Awami Muttahida Mahaz and CPI-M state general sectary, M Y Tarigami today turned down the allegations of China being aggressive saying that it has not occupied any part of the state. However, his close aid and a senior leader of the forum Abdul Rashid Kabali while contradicting Tarigami's claim said that Aksia-Chin is the part of Kashmir.
Talking to media on the sidelines of a function here in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, Tarigmi said when asked why china is not aggressive which he had mentioned earlier in the speech, "As far as Kashmir is concerned, yes I believe it, there are historical evidences that china is not."
When asked about Aksai-Chain he said, "Aksai-Chin is not the part our Kashmir, there was an agreement between Pakistan and china and according to that they have resolved there issues so as such there are historical evidences that no part of the state is under the occupation of china."
However, another senior leader of the forum Abdul Rashid Kabuli quickly intervened contradicted and said, "Let me tell you one thing agreement is between Pakistan and China and according to that they have left option for us and after the resolution of Kashmir issue our representative government will talk to china as the area is part of Kashmir, so we should believe as China as he is sincere towards the issue."
After listening contradictory statement from Kabuli during the briefing, Tarigami closed the topic by saying 'let's not enter into the debate this time.'
He also said that if India and Pakistan wants a durable peace in whole south Asian region they have come forward for the resolution off Kashmir issue. He said that no party in the state is having any readymade solution for it.
Terming BOPEE scam an insult to the society, Tariami demanded fair probe into the scam and stern against those involved it. He also alleged that other institution like Service selection board and Public service commission is also floating in the same boat.
Earlier addressing the convention CPI(M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami described the formation of Awami Muttahida Mahaz (AMM) as a beginning of a process which he said can lead to formation of an alternative political platform for addressing the burning issues faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir at the present juncture. He said that the initial effort in the form of this front may not be equal to the challenges we are facing at present, but we hope to succeed as we are clear and honest in our agenda and objectives. By clarity of programme and honesty of purpose the front can fight the odds. He invited all the political, intellectual, civil society and other groups to come forward and strengthen the hands of AMM.
The CPI (M) leader stressed on the fact that the Kashmir issue and other related problems cannot be resolved in isolation and we have to monitor and analyze the developments taking place in the entire South Asia. He highlighted the distinct and definite identity of Kashmir and said that tolerance and mutual brotherhood which are the hallmarks of Kashmiriyat have remained intact, despite assaults and conspiracies.
Referring to Afghanistan Tarigami said that international players who represent hegemony and domination have destroyed many countries and they should and could not be allowed to do the same in other areas, on the pretext of resolving issues. "Gun of any kind and from any side is not the solution" he said. He appealed the separatist leadership to come forward and cooperate in mitigating the problems faced by the people of the state adding that in the past these leaders have even entered the election fray and remained very active in politics.
In his address President PDF Hakim Mohammad Yasin highlighted the aims and objectives of AMM and said that it will strive for peace, development, dignified life and bright future for Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized the government for its corrupt and objectionable policy regarding recruitment in various government departments. He demanded uniform policy and criteria for short listing and selection of the candidates who have applied for different government jobs. Hakim Yasin welcomed the recent positive developments in Indo-Pak relations resulting in the ceasefire on borders. He castigated the administration for re-arresting the elderly separatist leader, Sayed Ali Shah Geelani.
President JKNDF Abdul Rashid Kabuli lauded the people and leadership of South Kashmir for their struggle against repression, corruption and mismanagement of the government. He criticized the apathy of the administration towards South Kashmir and said that the newly formed front will fight against corruption and frauds rampant in all departments and organizations. In this connection he cited the recent exposure of the bunglings in Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) and said that the persons responsible for these bunglings represent the corrupt bureaucracy of the State.
