| JCC asks Omar to intervene in BOPEE fiasco | | | | SRINAGAR, Nov 21: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of state government employees today expressed concern over the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) fiasco and said the episode has dented the overall image of the institution. In a statement, JCC leader, Pir Nisar Ahmad said that a meeting of JCC leaders was held at Jammu in which the BOPEE issue came up for discussion. The meeting was presided over senior JCC leader, Abdul Qayoom Wani and some of the top ranking leaders of JCC took part in it. "During the meeting the participants while expressing concern said that parents have lost trust in the overall system of examinations being conducted with respect to various professional courses. It was resolved that JCC would play its part in making the society free from various ills like the ill of corruption that has eaten into the very vitals. It was demanded that stern action should be taken against the guilty and no one should be spared," said Nisar. Nisar said that meeting appealed chief minister, Omar Abdullah to take personal interest in the matter so that the guilty are brought to book without any fear or favour. Prominent JCC leaders who took part in meeting were Amrik Singh, Dinesh Khajuria, Darshan Lal and Dr. Manzoor Ahmad. |
