| 45 DHSS students awarded cheques, certificates | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 21: 45 students of Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS) Shastri Nagar who voluntarily took training of first aid, fire fighting, traffic awareness and rescue procedure to be followed during earthquake and flood were today awarded cheques and certificates of participation.
According to a handout, a function was organized in Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS) Shastri Nagar wherein Gambhir Dev Singh Charak was the Chief Guest and Paramjeet Kumar was Guest of Honour. It will not be out of place to mention here that a five days training programme of Civil Defence and disaster management was conducted in the School for these 45 volunteer trainees by the Instructors Sudarshan Saini, Ram Chand, Dhruv Singh and Rashpal Singh under the supervision of SP Dushyant Sharma Deputy Controller Civil Defence and Shashi Kohli Deputy Divisional Warden Civil Defence, Jammu. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak in his speech appreciated the role of Civil Defence, Jammu in motivating and imparting training to the youngsters specially the students on this most important aspect of disaster management. He also appreciated the efforts of Instructors and specially Shashi Kohli who has always been taking keen interest in promoting such kind of activities of Civil Defence. In the last, Davinder Kour Principal, DHSS presented vote of thanks. |
