| Seminar on "Save Girl Child" organized | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: To generate awareness among masses on female foeticide, a seminar on "Save the Girl Child" was organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations Udhampur at Government High School Sunetar in Tehsil Ramnagar of District Udhampur.
Participants of the host school deliberated upon the topic and expressed their concern over the declining sex ratio in the district.
On the occasion, a film show based save the girl child was screened to highlight the importance of generating awareness among the masses regarding the negative social impact of declining sex ratio.
During the programme, lectures were delivered by the Dr. Nittin a representative from Health Department who urged upon the students to spread awareness among the general masses for uprooting the menace of female foeticide from the society. |
