| Narwal Shootout: Santro borne youth open firing, one injured | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 22: Panic gripped in Narwal locality of winter capital of state when one person was critically injured in firing opened by two Santro borne youth here afternoon. Police have identified the accused and have launched massive manhunt to apprehend them. As per sources, two Santro borne youths opened firing on a youth namely Prabjot Singh son of Tarlochan Singh of Narwal Pain, Satwari when latter was standing near Sabzi Mandi gate. Sources said that the incident took place when victim Prabjot Singh objected the way, the Santro car was driven. "The two youth, whom police have identified as Manmohan Singh alias Jaggi and Kewal Krishan alias Kaka, (both residents of Talab Tillo), got irritated on objection from Prabjot and got engaged arguments with him,' sources said. They added the hot arguments turned into brawl and suddenly the Santo borne youths opened firing upon Prabjot. "Both the accused were allegedly in an inebriated condition, police sources said while adding, "after opening firing upon their opponent, the said accused fled from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood." Soon after the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and took the victim to the GMC hospital where his treatment was in progress. SP South Rahul Malik when contacted said that , the white colour Santro Car driven by the youth has been identified as JK02AK/2870. The accused have also been identified, he maintained. Meanwhile a case in this connection stands registered at Narwal Police Station and a police team led by SDPO East Shamsher Singh Sambyal has launched a manhunt to arrest the accused. |
