| Dramatic potential exhibited at MV International School | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Nov 21: Following the system of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in letter and spirit a dramatic activity (role-play) was organized at MV International School involving students of Class VI under the guidance of the Social Studies teachers, in the presence of the Director and the Principal of the School. About 85-Students participated in the activity. Two sections of Class VI were assigned the role of inhabitants of two villagers named Dholakpur and Sonapur. It was a scene of Gram Panchayat represented by Pacnches and Sarpanches with the villagers ready to highlight their demands and difficulties, airing their problems before their representatives of the Panchayati Raj System, expecting their quick redressal on spot or projecting their problems at the appropriate level for solution. Dholakpur villagers drew the attention of their elected representatives towards the inadequate supply of drinking water and dilapidated condition of the village lanes where as the Sonapur villagers raised the problems of shortage of water for irrigation and also up-gradation of Primary School to Middle School. Main focus of the activity was to break the monotony of the class room teaching through chalk and talk by bringing variety in the process, also to hone the dramatic skills of the students by giving them opportunity of playing the roles of elected representatives and also as general masses to raise their voice for better facilities, thereby developing their communication skills. This activity also brought the students face to face with the real life situation of election process as they elected their Panches and Sarpanches on spot during the activity. |
