Nowshera, Nov 22: Seeking mandate of the people to throw out this worst ever corrupt regime, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that present dispensation under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has miserably failed to treat all regions and sub-regions equally. Party observed that it was result of wrong policies being pursued by the present regime that many areas have been ignored in developmental and other activities. Addressing series of public meetings Bhawani, Lamberi and Dandaser areas of Nowshera assembly segment, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, MLC said woes of masses have been compounding with every passing day but the government is not serious to solve problems of the masses. He said that government headed by Omar Abdullah has become a non performing liability on the people because this regime has added woes of the people through its misdeeds. He further said that this government has created history of scams and misappropriation of funds. He said that one after another scam coming to fore in the State because ruling elites have been involved in looting public exchequer. He mentioned that during the last five years this regime has only looted the public exchequer and betrayed the common masses. Speaking on the occasion, state secretary of PDP Surinder Choudhary regretted that people from Nowshere area, who were displaced during Operation Parakaram during Kargil war, are yet to get relief and compensation. He strongly demanded that compensation and relief to the Nowshere people should be given at par with the displaced persons of Khour area. He regretted that authorities have been adopting different yardsticks for different people. He demanded that one time settlement of 1947, 1965 and 1971 refugees. He also demanded Degree College at Lambari. Abdul Qayoom Dar, Arshad Mehmood (Sarpanch), Ajeet Singh, Babu Ram, Master Tilak Raj, Ashok Choudhary, Ashok Kumar Sharma (Sarpanch), Shabir Ahmed, Rattan Lal, Capt Bhola Ram, Mohinder Lal, Ramji Dass and others also spoke on the occasion. |
