Jammu, Nov 22: The NSS Unit of Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar today organized student summit cum signature campaign on national integration as part of on-going 'Quami Ekta Week' celebrations here today.
Principal of the College, Dr. Kiran Bakshi, who was chief guest on the occasion, while speaking to NSS Volunteers said that students and youth are the biggest force to change the fate of nation by hard work, dedication, and spirit of belongingness and volunteerism to helping one another.
She explained how the name "Quami Ekta Week" itself denotes at least three different languages representing various cultures, regions and religions in the country as one people, one nation, a true symbol of Unity in Diversity to the rest of world.
The volunteers from 3 NSS units in college interacted and discussed ideas how they can actively contribute in nation building while acting locally. They spoke on various developmental issues related to national integration. |
