Samba, Nov 22: A two days Employment Fair organized by District Employment and Counseling Centre Samba at village Nud in district Samba for the awareness of general public especially the unemployed youth about the self employment schemes being implemented by various departments 'viz' Employment, DIC, Rural Development, KVIB, KVIC, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry etc. was inaugurated by MLA Samba, Yash Paul Kundal Various departments functioning in Samba put up their stalls for highlighting their activities and also displayed the finished products in the Employment Fair. Kundal while speaking on the occasion complemented the District Administration for organizing this fair and assured that the department will continue giving focused attention towards un-employed youth and in this regard various schemes have been launched by the Govt. for assisting the youth and farmers to set up their self employment enterprises. He said that such programmes besides encouraging the youth for setting up their income generating units help in developing cordial relationship between the department and the local people. District Development Commissioner, Samba, R. K Varma while addressing the gathering highlighted the objectives of the Employment Fair. He called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth towards entrepreneurship to become job providers instead of job seekers. Spelling out various state and centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in the state, DDC asked the people to take maximum benefits from the schemes to empower themselves socially and economically Officers and Experts from different line Departments viz. Agriculture, Horticulture, DIC, DRDA, Employment, Bank functionaries etc were also present on the occasion and disseminated the information among establishing enterprises\ income generating units by the youth. Among others ACR Samba M.Y. Malik, district officers farmers, besides the Sarpanchs and Panchs, students, and the un-employed youth attended the fair. |
