J&K enters in semi final

JAMMU, Nov 22: J&K enters in the Semi Final after beating Haryana by 39-33 in the 1st All India Raizada Perhlad Bali Handball Federation Gold Cup .The Main scorer were Harmeek Singh 16 goals and Pankaj 5 goals from J&K side, and other three teams are as under: Army Red, Delhi and Punjab Police who are qualified in Semi final. Anandeshwer Pandey Vice President Handball Federation of India was the Chief Guest of today's matches. He distributed sports bags to all the players of all participant teams in the said tournament.
First semi final will be played between J&K vs. Punjab Police and 2nd semi final will be played between Army Red vs Delhi from 8:00 AM onwards. The final match will be start at 3 pm . NAWANG RIGZIN JORA Hon'ble Minister for URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND LOCAL BODIES will be the Chief Guest.
Result:
Army Red beat MEG by 24-18 goals, Punjab Police beat U.P. by 24-15 goals, Delhi beat CRPF by 31-29 and J&K beat Haryana by 39-33.
Tchonk Ball team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU, Nov 22: The 12-member boys team of the State Tchonk Ball Association left for participation in the VIIth Senior National Tchank Ball Championship at Haridwar in Uttarkhand.
Earlier, the newly formed Association selected the team through trials which followed the coaching camp for the promising boys.
The Team: Shafiq, Sunil, Tariq, Pranav, Vishvajeet, Rishi, Rohan, Rishav, Vivudh, Saksham, Parnam and M Singh. Makhan Singh (coach) and T Singh (Manager).
Army Public School Rakhmuthi celebrates 9th Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Nov 22: The occasion was graced with the presence of esteemed Chief Guest Brig Harish Kukreja who announced the Meet Open. The event began with lighting of the torch by the hon'ble guest. The marching squads lined up for the opening march past followed by the declaration of the meet open by the chairman. Students of the different houses displayed their consistency in the form of pyramids. After this students of different classes sweared the ground with their energetic drills. The main attraction were Aerobics, Flower Drill and various Races in which children took part in enthusiastically. The event came to an end with the prize distribution to the winners and the achievers of the year followed by the inspirational speech by the Chief Guest. The event ended with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Sangeeta Gupta.
Inter-College Sports meet held
BASOHLI, Nov 22: Inter- College Sports meet was held in the premises of Ramisht College of Education, PLAHI BASOHLI. In this meet, teams from different colleges participated with full vigor and enthusiasm. S.D.M Basohli, Sh Pran Singh was the Chief Guest on this occasion. In Kho-Kho match, New Age Degree College, Phinter defeated Team of Ramisht College of Education, Basohli and snatched the Title. In Badminton (Men), New Age College defeated Team of Govt. Degree College, Basohli. In women Category, Govt. Degree College, Basohli defeated team of Ramisht College of Education, Basohli. In Volley Ball, team of Ramisht College of Education, Basohli defeated the team of New Age Degree College, Phinter.
At last, prizes were distributed among the Winners and Runner-ups.
India face Japan in FIBA Asia U16 C’ship

New Delhi, Nov 22:India will take on defending champions Japan in their opening contest of the 3rd FIBA Asia U16 Championship for Women in Colombo on Saturday.
Based on their finish in the 2nd edition of the championship, the Indian girls are placed in Level I group alongside China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Chinese Taipei. The Indian team has prepared well for the tournament, and underwent a training-cum-preparation camp in Dongguan, China from November 13-21.
Head coach T D Biju along with coach Abhay Chavan will be leading the contingent to Sri Lanka under the guidance of senior women coach Francisco Garcia.
After Japan, India plays China on November 24 and Malaysia (Nov 25), Chinese Taipei (Nov 26) and Korea (Nov 27) in the preliminary round.
