EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, Nov 22: A protest demonstration against the malfunctioning of J&K Board of School Education's Sub-Office Kishtwar was staged by Public Awareness Front (PAF) under the leadership of its President Shakir Sidiqui. Addressing the protestors, Sidiqui said that a selected set of Teachers/Masters and Lectures were repeatedly appointed for exam duties which clearly manifests a nexus between the Kishtwar Board officials and the said set of teaching community members. He alleged that the local staff continued to be posted in the Board office for years together, thereby giving rising to rampant corruption. "Mass copying is being witnessed in exams especially in far flung areas and it is astonishing that no teams from Jammu Board visited the exam centers thereby raising the finger of suspicion on the Board authorities and demanded a thorough probe into the matter, beside an immediate transfer of staff working in Board office so that future generations could be saved from mass copying in examination which is ruining the future of student community", he said. Others who spoke on the occasion include Radha Krishan, Ishrat Saleem, Ajay Kumar, Faraoq Ahad Sheikh, Gh, Rasool, Arshad Giri and others. Later Shakir Sidiqui along with nearly one dozen protesters called upon DC Kishtwar and submitted a memorandum to him. |
