RAJOURI, Nov 22: A fully grown bear, about 5 years old, was caught by a team of Wild Life Department from a remote village in Rajouri district today.Mushtaq Choudhary, wild life team leader said that the bear had entered in village Panhad in Rajouri and was chased by the villagers. He added that when the wild life team reached the village, the bear had taken shelter in a cave after it was chased by the villagers. After hectic efforts, the bear was taken out of the cave with the help of villagers and was later shifted to Rajouri. Rajiv Sharma , Assistant Wild Life Warden informed Early Times that the bear was medically fit after he was examined by doctors at Rajouri adding that the bear was sent to Wild Life Sanctuary at Manda, Jammu. |
