Victim girl demands exemplary punishment

Jammu, Nov 22: Demanding stern action against the 'bridegroom', who didn't turn up to solemnize marriage on November 17, the victim 'bride' today said that such cheaters should be given exemplary punishment. While addressing a press conference at her residence Jhullaka Mohalla, she said that the accused Neeraj Gupta son of late Subash Chander, a resident of Nanak Nagar along with his family members should be booked as they were well aware that their son is already married and father of two children. She said also made a fervent appeal to Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association not to take up the case of cheat 'bridegroom'.
The parents of the victim demanded Rs 12 lakh from the accused family as compensation which were expended in making marriage arrangements.
