| Dalit Sena demands separate chairman, Secretaries for JKBOSE | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 22: Dalit Sena, J&K has appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and School Education Minister for provision of separate Chairmen and Secretaries for J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) at Jammu and Srinagar. State President of Dalit Sena Ramesh Lal Bhagat said that the Chairman and Secretary of the State Board of School Education remains in one Division for six months and the other Division suffers as there are certain powers which the Joint Secretary does not have. During the summer the needy have to go from Jammu to Srinagar and during winter from Srinagar to Jammu, which causes them not only the loss of precious time but also money. Since the inception of BOSE, one post of Chairman and one Secretary were created; the number of candidates appearing in the examinations has increased five times. Therefore, creation of additional two posts of Chairmen and Secretary has become absolutely necessity. This will also help to save the un-necessary expenditure on Darbar Move which otherwise could be invested on other curriculum development activities. There are two separate regional Directorates of School Education, two regional Universities and even two regional central Universities why not two separate regional Boards of School Education. |
