Jammu, Nov 22: Expressing concern over mushrooming of diagnostic laboratories in the Jammu city, Shri Ram Sena (SRS) state president Rajiv Mahajan has demanded immediate cancellation of licenses of bogus laboratories. Accusing the state Health Ministry and Director Health Services, Jammu, Rajiv Mahajan blamed them of having nexus with some business elites whom they allow to open Diagnostic Laboratories in Jammu at the risk of life of common man.Mahajan said that common man falls prey to the modus operandi of these diagnostic laboratories through their medico touts who send the patients to get the tests done from a particular diagnostic laboratory from where the medicos get a hefty commission without considering the authenticity of the diagnostic reports at the life risk of a poor patient. Mahajan said that diagnostic reports of two different diagnostic laboratories of the same person for same tests at the same interval of time show huge variations. |
