EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 22 : J&K SRTC Employees Union has decided to go on one day token strike on November 25 if the SRTC Management failed to revoke its anti-employees order. The SRTC Employees Union held a meeting under the chairmanship of Raja Muneer Ahmed here on Friday in which Vice President National Transport Workers Federation, Amrik Singh Sasan and Secretary Karamchari Union Chaman Lal Raina and Provincial President, Jammu, Pawan Sharma were also present. The meeting was held to discuss the recent development in which SRTC Management issued orders to withdraw services of conductor cum clerks and deputing them on active duties of conductor. Terming this order as use and throw policy, the participants said that management is humiliating them at their fag end of their ages adding that most of the conductors working in office have now developed score of physical problems like hypertension, diabetes, disk problems etc demanded revocation of this order. Chairman Workers Union Srinagar, Mairaz-du-Din apprised that they have decided to observe one day token strike on November 25, if SRTC management failed to revoke the order by Novembers 24. |
