| JKJEWA expresses concern over non fulfillment of demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 9: Jammu and Kashmir Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JKJEWA) has expressed concern over government for not fulfilling their long pending demands. According to press release, Provincial president of JKJEWA Pandit Ilyas said that ministerial staff of subordinate courts on December 30 and 31 had observed black day across state against the government for not fulfilling the demands, agreed on April 8th 2008, between the then Chief Justice and Chief Minister of state with reference to second phase zero financial implication scheme of Ministerial staff, Creation of posts in newly created eight district and Shetty Commission recommendations. Highlighting the role of Ministerial staff in subordinate courts, Pandit Ilyas expressed concern that staff was being ignored by government and their demands were brushed aside. "Today's protest across the state shall stand an eye opener to government and it should resolve our demands otherwise we shall be constrained to go for strike", he warned. He further said that if government would not resolve their demands they would be compelled to go on strike. The meeting of JKJEWA which was proposed on 2nd of January has been postponed to January 20 in wake of bad weather. |
