| Court directs SHO to appear in person over 'Non compliance' | | | early times report
Jammu, Jan 9 (JNF): Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh today in a bail matter, taking serious note of non submission of police report in time by SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Jammu asked him to appear in person along with CD file on January 10. Court also has sent copy of order to SSP with the remarks that it has pained much to the Court that the police officers subordinate to him are not complying with the lawful order of the Court.
This direction has been passed in a bail application filed S Balkar Singh and other seeking pre-arrest bail in FIR NO 122/2013 u/s 498-A/406/420/109 RPC, were granted interim pre-arrest bail on December 26, 2013.
After hearing Adv Ajay Vaid appearing for the petitioner whereas PP for the state, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh to obtain police report and filed his objection, since than prosecution has taken three opportunities but has failed to produced the police report. Public Prosecutor has made a statement that despite repeated request the SHO P/S Channi HImmat has not sent the report, Upon this Court directed SHO P/S Channi Himmat to appear in person. |
