early times report Jammu, Jan 9: Bhartiya Janata Party today blamed Congress party of 'disintegrating' Jammu Province for vote bank politics. "The demand made by senior Congress leaders, including former Cabinet Minister, while meeting the Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand-led Cabinet sub-committee (CSC) on creation of new administrative units in the state that 'Chenab Valley Autonomous Hill Development Council' be created for the erstwhile Doda district comprising Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar areas, if accepted, would provoke political explosions in Jammu province," BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma here said. He said that this is what Wajahat Habibullah, presently Chairman of National Minorities Commission, has been advocating since years. "He has been advocating the division of Jammu and Kashmir into five geographical zones on religious lines, and the creation of five regional assemblies - one each for the plain of Jammu province, hilly and mountainous areas of Jammu province, Shia-majority Kargil district, Buddhist-majority Leh district and Sunni-majority Kashmir," he added. "Certain influential elements in the establishment and political class are also toying with the idea of a compromise with Pakistan to accommodate its sinister designs on Jammu and Kashmir," alleged Jugal Kishore. Sharma said the BJP will oppose the sinister move tooth and nail to rescue the threatened minorities and defend the unity and integrity of Jammu Province. He said that the BJP is committed to maintaining the unity and integrity of Jammu province and the nation as a whole at any cost.
