| Omar led regime has failed to deliver: Asgar Ali | | ’Raises questions on Justice Gandhi report, asks who are culprits’ | | early times report Jammu, Jan 9: Senior People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLC Syed Asgar Ali today accused Omar Abdullah lead coalition government off failure to address the problems faced by the people of Kishtwar District. He also questioned the observation of Justice Gandhi report wherein MOS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo has been called as victim and seeks clarification from the government in this regard as who are the culprits. While addressing the press conference at party office in Jammu, Syed Asgar Ali said that the pathetic conditions prevailing in Kishtwar town as well as suburb of Kishtwar during the present severe Winter has caused lot of inconvenience for the people of Kishtwar. He said that the PHE department has failed to correct the supply system which is almost 40 years old and needs immediate attention as well as replacement of the distribution lines. "It is pertinent to mention that Trigam which is almost habituated population of 10000 souls are without drinking water and the department so far has failed to come to their rescue" said Asgar Ali. He said that the same condition is prevailing in Kuleed, Panditgam, Sangram Bhata, Pochal, Cherhar, Sarkoot etc. "Not only water the people are also living without power supply making student community as well as elderly people suffer adversely," added Asgar Ali. He also raised the issue of poor connectivity and alleged GREF authorities turning deaf ear to people's complaints. PDP leader also said that CA&PD ration depots are practically without sufficient stocks and the situation is worst in Dachan, Marwah, Warwan and Padder areas. "The air services to remote areas of Kishtwar announced but practically it flew only twice while people are left to suffer in this severe winter season" said Asgar Ali. He also slams police for harassing the people of Kishtwar on the name of August 9 Kishtwar violence related cases.
